LYNGSALPENE

Lighting, pictures, video and links about the Lyngen alps

Location:

The Lyngen Alps are situated on the Lyngen Peninsula between Ullsfjorden and Lyngenfjorden. Four different municipalities form the Lyngen Peninsula. The municipalities are called Lyngen, Storfjord, Balsfjord and Tromsø. Lyngen municipality covers most of the peninsula.

The scenery is amazingly beautiful with its steep mountains framed by the sea on both sides of the Lyngen Alps. You can also find long stunning and deep fjords. You need to see them!

Nature on the Lyngen Peninsula can be both mild and frightening at the same time. Visitors are still and have always been fascinated by its beauty.

The Lyngen Peninsula has everything you might wish for. Long plains, narrow valleys with steep mountains.

You can experience just about anything in Nord-Lenangen at the same time as have wild and beautiful nature up close. It is a great opportunity to go hiking and climb mountains such as Storgalten.

Visiting Nord-Lenangen and the Lyngen Alps is just as fascinating winter time as summer time.
